Meet the Board
The board's primary purpose is to work together to improve the quality of disc golf events in the Southeast. They do this by virtually meeting to ensure that all of the planning that goes into a successful event have been done.

Marshall Griffiss, PresidentDISC GOLF EXPERIENCE - PDGA #146090
Marshall has been involved with disc golf since 2020. His interest in the game started off solely with a modest interest in learning a new sport. As his tournament play grew, he found that not all tournaments are created equal. He is currently sponsored by Team Trilogy, Outta Bounds Disc Golf, and Wicked Aces.
EVENT EXPERIENCE
He started running C-tier tournaments and wanted to learn more about running quality events. He was the TD for the Open at Tallahassee DGPT Silver Series. He has worked closely with Visit Tallahassee to secure sponsorships for tournaments. Past Secretary of the Tallahassee Disc Golf Association from 2020 to 2023.

David Muntean Jr., DirectorDISC GOLF EXPERIENCE - PDGA #37376
Dave Muntean (PDGA #37376) has dedicated 2000+ volunteer hours over 15+ years to support growth in disc golf, served as Tournament Course Director in 10 DGPT/World Championship events, been sponsored by Dynamic Discs for 10+ years, and educated himself extensively in course design via national & regional conferences, workshops, and seminars. Dave started playing disc golf in 2005 at the age of 43, has competed in over 140 sanctioned tournaments, and in the AM50+ Division won the US Masters & finished 5th, 2nd & 2nd at Amateur Worlds before turning Pro in 2013. His personal best scores, at his local course (Tom Brown Park, Tallahassee), are -17 and -16 from the short pads, scored just before his 59th birthday. Outside of disc golf, Dave has worked to improve lives & communities as a professional civil engineer for 40 years, and served the equivalent of 55+ years on various professional, recreational, and community service boards and committees.

Patrick Harrity III, TreasurerDISC GOLF EXPERIENCE - PDGA # 25171
Patrick started playing disc golf in 2002 at Tom Brown park in Tallahassee Fl. He played some competitive years then fell off but never really stopped playing disc golf. In 2018 a close friend, Chris Wooland, got him back into playing competitive disc golf. Since then he joined the Prodigy Street team in 2021 and was promoted to the Ambassador team in 2023. Also, in 2020 he became the Tallahassee Disc Golf Association club president and ran most of the Tuesday Double and Saturday singles events. Also, during that time he started helping with running the Open at Tallahassee events. Over the course of his 3 year presidency he and the other board members had the idea to create a PDGA Tournament focused non-profit Southeast Disc Golf Events. This is to promote and help other areas run professional PDGA tournaments as well as separate the local non-PDGA club events from the PDGA ones. Since starting as the president there have been 3-4 PDGA events.

James Coste, SecretaryDISC GOLF EXPERIENCE - PDGA #115826
James started playing disc golf in 2017. He plays competitively in the MA50+ division for tournament play and also enjoys casual rounds with friends 2-3 times/week. He is sponsored by Flight Factory Discs.
EVENT EXPERIENCE
James has been the Tournament Director for several C-tier events including the Women's Global Event in 2022 and Tallahassee Open Junior events in 2023 and 2024. He also assists with other tournaments recently travelling to Emporia, Kansas to serve as a Course Tournament director for Master Worlds. He helped develop the Buck Lake Disc Golf course at Morningside Church in Tallahassee. He enjoys running skills clinics and has done so for youth, Veterans and other groups.
